Updated July 5, 2009

Friedrich "Albert" Rubbert/Robbert was born 30 April 1839 in Stolzenburger Glashütte and Wilhelmine Caroline Henriette Roggow was born 2 January 1842 in the Vorwerk Klempenow which are in the Boock Parish in Pommern, Germany. Albert and Wilhelmine (Roggow) Robbert came to Waushara County, WI in 1869 with their three children Augusta, Gustave and Mathilde. Anna, Bertha and Albert were all born in Saxeville Township Wilhelmine's parents, Michael and Caroline (Ziehm) Roggow came at the same time with their two boys, August and Carl and their married daughter Ernestine (Roggow) Bröcker.

Albert Friedrich Wilhelm Robbert married Anna Auguste Friedericke Roggow on 29 April 1902 at Christ Ev. Lutheran Church, West Bloomfield, Waushara County, WI. They had eleven children all born in Saxeville Township.

July 18th, 2009 the descendants of Albert and Anna will be holding their 35th annual reunion.

Over the Christmas Holidays in 2003, a "cousin," his wife and I were forturnate enough to visit the area of Germany where our ancestors lived. Jens Müller-Koppe, historian and genealogist from Bremen, Germany who has done extensive research for me on the Rubbert family was our guide and translator for the Kreis Randow, Pommern area which used to be in East Germany. Some of the villages and places we visited were Boock, Rothenklempenow, Vorwerk (no longer exits), Dorotheenwalde, Koblentz, Mewegen, Grünhof, Stolzenburger Glashütte, Pampow, Schmagerow, Löchnitz and Pasewalk to name some. Jens has helped me to trace my Rubbert/Robbert family bach to Christian Rubbert who was born about 1658 and died in 1728 in Gorkow. My highlight of the trip was "Sylvester Eve" (our New Years Eve) services at the Mewegen church where my great-grandparents attended and their first three children were baptized before coming to America in 1869.

The names that I am researching in this family and area of Germany include:Rubbert/Robbert; Roggow; Matz; Ziehm; Zahnow; Kielgas; Greinert; Bartels; Behm; Carow; Permon; Prey(en)and Krause to name a few.
