Notes for John Miner Apple: John Apple, age 74, passed away Monday at the Brazil Hospital, where he had been for 6 weeks following an operation. He was born in Mooresville, the son of Lewis and Sarah Elliott Apple. He went with his brother, W.E. Apple, of this place, to Brazil when they were both very small boys and made their home with an Uncle, Ben Elliott. He never returned to Mooresville to live and lived for about fifty years in Brazil. Mr. Apple was a building contractor. He had been the contractor for a number of nice buildings in various parts of the state. One of these is the Masonic Temple in Plainfield. He was married to Jessie Shepherd, who died soon after their marriage. Later he married Lillie Landers Apple, who survives him. He was a member of the Brazil Christian Church. He was taken to the hospital six weeks ago for an operation. Up to that time he apparently had been in good health. He failed to rally from the operation. He celebrated his 74th birthday one week ago Monday. Funeral services were conducted at the Larson Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock. Burial was in Brazil cemetery. He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Link Goddard, of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Wm Treager, of Hammond, one brother, W.E. Apple, of this place, one sister, Mrs. Mary Allison, of Indianapolis, eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Among those who attended the services from Mooresville were Mr. And Mrs. W.E.
