The Showalter/Ryans Family Home Page

I am searching for my SHOWALTER ancestors. They originated in Switzerland in the late 1400's and came to Pennsylvania in the mid 1700's. The family branched off and some came to Kansas in the 1800's. My great grandfather ABRAHAM CHRISTOPHER SHOWALTER married AMANDA JUNE JOHNSON (daughter of John and Catherine Johnson) August 15, 1872 in Chandlerville, Illinois. My grandfather ALBERT EDWARD SHOWALTER married MARTHA ANN LOCKE (daughter of James N. and Mary[Mollie]Frances ATKINSON) April 6, 1904 in Caldwell, Kansas. My father RAYMOND ARTHUR SHOWALTER married WUANITA VINA BLANCHE MARIE SMITH (daughter of Sherman Ulysses and Dora Lucy [TITUS] SMITH)March 23, 1931 in Medford, Oklahoma. Dora Lucy Titus was the daughter of Henry and Alma [ARNOLD] Titus. My husband's grandfather was HENRY ELZIE RYAN/RYANS born March 8, 1865 location unknown. Henry had a brother named WILLIAM R. RYAN. Henry and William married sisters AGNES AND MOLLIE HULL. They were listed on census records from Erath Co., Texas in 1900. My husband's grandmother was CYNTHIA LOUIZZA TUCKER born September 22, 1874 in Texas. She married EDGAR WESLEY CORNELL September 27,1891. We have no further information on Cynthia Tucker.
