I AM RESEARCHING THE RYAN FAMILY OF LEADVILLE, COLORADO. MY FATHER WAS WILLIAM JOSEPH RYAN, BORN APRIL 2, 1896. HE MAY HAVE BEEN FATHERED BY "SKILES/SKYLES". HIS FATHER WORKED IN THE MINES OF LEADVILLE, HIS MOTHER RAN A BOARDING HOUSE. MY FATHER LATER MOVED TO BUTTE, MONTANA. HE ENLISTED IN THE ARMY, TRAINED AT FT. SILL, OKLAHOMA, AND WENT TO FRANCE IN WWI WITH THE HORSE DRAWN ARTILLERY. AFTER THE WAR HE MARRIED AND HAD A SON AND DAUGHTER. AFTER THEY DIVORCED, HIS WIFE MOVED TO LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA. HIS SON, BILL, WAS KILLED IN A CAR ACCIDENT ON HIS 16TH BIRTHDAY. MY FATHER MET MY MOTHER, JENNY MAE WILLIAMS(BICKEL) IN BUTTE. SHE WORKED FOR THE MONTANA POWER COMPANY. SHE HAD A DAUGHTER, THELMA LOUISE, BY HER FIRST HUSBAND, MERLIN BICKEL. MY MOTHER AND FATHER STARTED OUT FOR CALIFORNIA AFTER WWII. THEY SETTLED IN RENO, NEVADA.
