CORNOCK is a relatively unusual and localised surname. My branch of the family issues from the area of Berkeley, Dursley and North Nibley.I love the fact that from my earliest ancestor so far found, I am the first of the line to move further than the neighbouring village!
I haven`t yet found a satisfactory interpretation of the origin of the name though there may be a link to the Berkeleys of Berkeley castle.
If anyone has any additional information I would love to hear from them.
