I am currently researching McGregor, Duncan/Ferguson, Margaret. They lived Ekfrid Twp, Middlesex County, Province of Ontario, Canada from 1854-1885, where they raised 8 children (birthdates are approximate): Gregor 1845, Donald 1848, Catherine 1849, Alexander 1851, Angus 1859 (my Grandfather), Peter 1860, Duncan 1863, and Sarah 1865. Duncan the elder was born in Scotland about 1819,and received his Ontario land grant as a result of service as a Yeoman. His wife was born in Ontario about 1824.
After 1885, the land was returned to the crown; some or all of the family moved west. Angus acqired a homestead in Sandy Lake, Manitoba. Others of them may have settled in the same area, but some went to Saskatchewan, perhaps to the Hanley area.

I would be most pleased to hear from anyone who may have a connection, and will freely share what information I have. None of these people used middle names, and the names are very common, which hinders research.
