| We are researching the Rymniak, Jakubowski, Menta and Szpyt families who all immigrated from Poland in the later part of the 19th century and the early part of the 20th century and settled on the Northside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in an area known as "Woods Run". Our Grandfathers are Michael Rymniak from Ustyanova, Josef Jakubowski from Nowy Targ, Fedor Menta from Cisna and Jan Szpyt from Sandomierz. Our Grandmother's maiden names that we know are Catherine Hovan (Mrs. Rymniak), Honorata Mika (Mrs. Jakubowski) and Mary Czysz (Mrs. Szpyt). We do not know Mrs. Eva Menta's maiden name. |
