Yes, it is written, "The RYNES Family, A History and Geneology". The Mellennium Edition 2000 has been published and a few copies are still available for purchase. Contact rynestree@aol.com for more information.

Although we have over three thousand names in our data base, we are still looking for those we may have missed. If you are someone with the RYNES last name, or someone who has married someone with the RYNES last name or if you are a descendant of those marrying into the family, please also contact us.

At this point, we have identified what we believe are three RYNES families, each of which came to the United States in the mid to late 1800's. If you can help us fill in these family trees or discover how they may have been related back in Bohemia from which they came, we will be very grateful.

    This is a copy of a photo that was taken in Trebon, Bohemia, Austria before this part of the family came to the U.S. Children, Mary and Joseph were missing when the photo was taken.
  • Albert Rynes and Anna Ouska Wedding - 3/15/1897 (277 KB)
    Albert emigrated on 6/18/1893 and applied for citizenship 9/27/1894. Anna and he were married in Chicago before settling on a farm at Mt. Tabor, Wisconsin. The farm now belongs to grand son, Phillip Rynes.

  • Post Card from Modern Day Trebon, Bohemia (69 KB)
    Trebon is still a sleepy village with much remaining from the middle ages. It was not damaged severly by communist rule and looks today, just as my grandmother described it to me when I was a boy.
