The CLARKS of Steuben Co. NY

I am just getting started in my research. I have traced my mother's family (REYNOLDS) of the southern tier of NY back, but I need help with my Father's (Clark) side. I can't get anything on his father. Seems he was sort of a cad and no one wants to talk about him or even remember him. His name is FRANK CLARK. He was born 07 May 1877 in Allegany Co. NY, son of JAMES and MARY BROWN CLARK> He lived in the Hornell, Steuben Co. NY area around 1921. I know that because that is when my father was born (Merwin Richard Clark). He was married to JULIA WOOD SILSBY at the time. I have a Cousin James Clark whom I think lives in Streetsboro, Ohio that may know something about our Grandfather.
