Hansel R. Williamson was born in Emanuel County, GA, on November 4, 1869, to Solomon Williamson and his first wife, Delila Trapnell. Hansel's children were Ethel G. (McCullough)--her mother was Turah Virginia Williamson; Ada (Williamson Findley)and Bertha "Tissie" (Cobb)--their mother was Estelle "Essie" Swain; Estol J.--his mother was Ada McCullough; Lemuel D., Olin Howell, Bernard Irving, Hughey Raiford, and Jeff Wright--their mother was Daisy Eckels, whom Hansel married ca. 1909. Hansel owned the land on which the little town of Oak Park in southern Emanuel County is situated, land he acquired from his father. He died June 24, 1918, and was buried in the Solomon Williamson Cemetery near Oak Park.
