COLBERT: Spiritual Connotaton; Anchored in God. Inherent meaning; Brilliant Seafarer. Scripture; Psalm 46:1 NKJV, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
The Allen & Colbert families have a rich and wondeful history to discover and to share with the generations to come. My maternal grandparents are Morris H. Allen, son of Henry & Lillian Allen, and Emma Epperson, Daughter of Mack & Ida Epperson who lived in several cities in Oklahoma and Texas, where they had 14 children. Their fourth daughter and sixth child, is my mother Artchla Allen Thomas. My paternal grandparents are Primer Colbert, son of Eddie & Francis Colbert and Odessa Ware, daughter of Harry & Emma Brown who also lived in Oklahoma and had 2 children. Primer and Odessa's first son, is my father Earmie Lee Colbert.
Their children are now spread as far east as Maryland and to the west as Washington, Oregon and California. I am searching for any information on our family ancestry, and I hope to reach as many familiy members as possible. I would greatly appreciate any information to help continue this very important project.
