The descendants of Zelig Salomon, Goldsmith from Krojanke

The Salingers listed here are descendants of Zelig Salomon, a goldsmith from the village of Krojanke, Poland. His descendants left Krojanke and moved east. One branch settling in the towns of Lomza and Suwalki and the other branch in the villages of Southern Lithuania. The Salingers of Suwalki and Lomza were later to migrate to Prussia and later still to the United Kindgdom, Australia and even to Israel. The Lithuanian branch was to emmigrate to the United States. Other families closely connected to the Salinger family are of Lichtenstein and Lewkonja.
I began this search in 1982 with just 14 names of my most immediate relatives. Today the Salinger tree has close to 2000 names. Many thanks to Debbie Salinger in Huntington Woods and Rudy Schmerl in Ann Arbor for their assistance and of course to my family who think this venture is a little absurd but never the less support me.
