When I started researching the "Woolsey" side of my family, I had sketchy information that went back to the Reverend Thomas Woolsey, born in 1716.I had no idea of the extensive amount of information I was to find through Family Tree Maker. The Woolsey connection comes from my maternal great-grandparents - Felix Grundy Woolsey and Elizabeth (Eliza) Jane Martin.I have also included my paternal ancestors, who were Swiss Immigrants from Einsiedeln. The Swiss Kalin family moved first to Montana, where other Swiss families had gathered. They later moved the family to Cottonwood, Idaho via covered wagons.Their last move was to Lompoc, California which was a rich farming area and settled by a large contingent of Swiss. Swiss Family Names: Kalin, Jenni, and Segessenmann (or Segessemann, or Sagefsenmann) **Disclaimer:Family Woolsey data is constantly changing. At this time there is NO definitive proof of the eight generations prior to "our common ancestor" George Joris Wolsey/Woolsey.I have left these eight generations in Family Tree until it is proven correct or incorrect.
