Descendants of Lemuel Saunders of Lincoln Co, North Carolina

Several researchers have added a lot of information to the descendants of Lemuel Saunders during the time this page has been posted here. I thank all of you and hope I have also assisted you in your research. Lemuel's sons are established from an estate deed, but the daughters are based on assumptions and probabilities. So far, no one has been able to come up with any ancestors for Lemuel Saunders or Martha ? Probably Lemuel's father was of English origin and died when Lemuel was young. (Lemuel might have been raised by a German family since he was apparently bi-lingual. My choice for research purposes would be either Dellingers or Rudisells in Augusta County, Virginia, or Pennsylvania.)
There are still a lot of assumptions and speculation in the report section below as this is still a work in progress. This update is as of January 1, 2007.
