Found a Henry Garratt who was christened 04 OCT 1678 in Chipping Sodbury, Gloucester, England, which is not far from Bristol, whose father was a William. There are no other Garratt (any spelling) events in Chipping Sodbury in decades, so I'm wondering if this might be him, and his family was visiting at the time.
