Obituary
--Mr. Simon Myers, formerly of Hamilton, Ind., but now of Campbellsville, KY., died Saturday, August 8, 1908, at his home near Campbellsville, Ky., of a complication of diseases and was buried August 9, at Union Ridge, near his home. A widow and seven children are left to mourn their loss.
He wa a kind and loving husband and father and loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his friends and neighbors in the community where he has lived for the past 13 years.

--Mrs. Eunice Davis - 60
Funeral services were conducted Monday at 4:00 p.m. from the Reed's Chapel Church for Mrs. Eunice Davis, 60, who died at her home Sunday afternoon, having been in declining heatlh for several months. Services were conducted by Rev. Howard O'Banion, assited by Rev. Odis Polley, with interment in Reed's Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis was born July 7, 1881, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Meyrs. She made profession of faith in Christ at an early age in life and was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist church of Elkhorn.
She was united in marriage to Mr. Alfred Davis, November 21, 1900. Beside here husband she is survived by two brothers, William and George, both of Taylor County; three sisters, Emma Sell, Louisville; Mrs. Jennie Heick, Louisville; Mrs. Elsie Fosdick, Bradford, Ill., and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were R.T. and Omer Fisher, Leslie Rhinehart, Herschel Campbell, Roy Clark, and Lester Roberts.
Flowerbearers were Mrs. Myrtie Davis, Mrs. Birdie Fisher, Mrs. Howard Sallee, Mrs. Emmitt Sallee, Mrs. Cora Phillips, Mrs. Rose Benningfield, Mrs. Clay Davis, and Mrs. Lillian Bauman.

Obituary
-- Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon, at the Reed Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church for Alford FranklineDavis, 84, a retired Taylor County farmer, who died suddenly early Wednesday morning. November 4 at his home in the Reed Chapel Community of a heart condition.
He was a son of the late Wesley and Nancy Phillips Davis and was a member of the Elkhorn Methodist church. he was Sunday School Superintendent and teacher for several years at the Reed Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church near his home.
He was a descendant of two pioneer families in Taylor County, his mother having been the first woman to receive a certificate to teach school in Taylor County: and his grandfather, Resin Davis, was Talyor County's first Sheriff.
Survivors include one brother, R.E. "Bob" Davis, Taylor Cunty; two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Puryear, Taylor County; and Mrs. Enna Goodin, Palmira, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
Rev. J.A. McDowell, pastor, conducted the services, asisted by Re. J.M. Vaugh, and burial was in the Phillips Family Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lewis Parish, Sam and Johnny Myers, Cassius Davis, Paul Clark, and Carroll Blevins.
Honorary bearers were Arthur Harden, Melvin Janes, Omer Fishter, Lester Roberts, Lester Rhinhart, Truman Wise, Marshal Salle, Maurice Benningfield, Virgil Phillips and Stanley Pike.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Jennie Myers Heick; brothers, Ernest C., Fred H., of Chicago, and Henry W. Heick, Centralia, ILL.; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Wiesner and Mrs. John M. Miller of Huntingburg, IN.
