I have not really ever known alot about my father - he died when I was very young. he was an only child and we have never met any of our cousins etc.. I am hoping we may be able to find some relatives one day to fill in the 'blanks!" I have traced my father's family back five generations. The family members include: Thomas SANSON married Alison BROWN (Scotland) Children: George Thomas SANSON b 1786 married Margaret DICKISON in Cockburnspath/oldhamstocks Scotland Chn: Margaret b 25.12.1819 George b 19.7.1805 James b 10.1.1815 John b 27.5.1810 Robert b 4.8.1817 Thomas b 3.3.1807 married Helen BROWN (Scotland) Chn: William b 8.4.1825 Alexander b 1.11.1829 David b 14.7.1827 married Margaret INGLES in Scotland in 1852 but then moved to Australia Chn: John b 1855 William b 1857 David b 1859 Janet b 1861 - 1864 Alexander b 1863 Thomas and Mary Elizabeth SANSON (nee: Grant) b 1855 d 1921 both born in Australia -and they had 13 children: David b 1874 - 1939 - married Maude Matilda HODGES Chn: Harry Joseph b 1921 d 1968 (this is my father) MaudE Matilda's mother is Ellen BRETT married 1863 " " father is John HANCOCK George b 1878 - married Ada a NOLAN Chn: Ina M b 1905 Sarah Jane b 1880 - married Patrick McCORMICK Chn: Elizabeth R b 1902 Joseph b 1903 d 1903 Charlotte b 1904 Mary E b 1905 Patrick Michael b ? d 1972 Margaret Amelia b 1882 married Charles REITHER Chn: unknown at this stage Thomas b 1884 - 1957 married Ethel M PARTRIDGE Chn: Roy b 1903 d 1959 Doris m b 1905 Thomas Alexander b ? d 1960 William b 1886 - 1964 married Ellen M NEWBERRY Chn: Ralph Newberry Sanson b ? married Joyce WOODARD Alexander b 1888 - 1959 married Gertrude M BELL Chn: Betty J b ? d 1930 John Leonard b 1890 - 1955 married Loral Ena M LATHAM Chn: Robert Allan b ? d 1961 married Annastacia COONEY Albert b 1892 - Jennet (or Janet) b 1892 - married Arthur BARDEN Chn: Kevin George b ? d 1962 married Molly Aileen ?
