I am researching the Spell Family of Toombs, Laurens, Washington, and Johnson Counties in Georgia. Other allied families are Cox (Horry Co, SC, GA, and Fl), Odom (Ireland, Tattnall, Toombs Co, GA), McIntyre (Scotch-Irish, NC, GA), Partin (GA, FL), McGregor (GA),Curry (?, GA) Harrison (GA),Cochran (GA), Jordan (GA), Tucker (GA).


I was born in Lyons, Toombs Co., GA., and have long been interested in my family's ancestry. Quite a bit of it has been passed down through the generations. I have filled in bits and pieces from courthouse, newspaper, and internet research. The Spell family history that I heard from childhood has been verified by my research information, and the stories handed down have been found to be at least partially true.

I am interested in acquiring more information about earlier ancestors and other branches of the my family, and will appreciate any help in this regard. I am willing to share my information and hope that it will be helpful to others.
