Welcome to the Sárkány family web page. This branch of the Sárkány family originated in Ilencfalva Transylvania. The word Sárkány means dragon and the Ilencfalva branch of the family contains a dragon as the central theme of the Noble family crest.

One of my goals for this web page is to serve as a central point for Sárkány related information. I would greatly appreciate any helpful information on other Sárkánys and their family background. I would also appreciate information on my Grandmothers family, Hubáy.

Note - If you look at the family tree it does not display everyone at once. Use the instructions at the bottom of the page to search amongst all the individuals in the file or the whole tree can be seen if you use Mihaly Sárkány 1677 - 1737 as the "Primary Individual"
