Research Notes Edna Atkinson Langman of Elmvale was to England and found a genealogist who followed up her research. It seems that John had one brother and two sisters. The genealogist believes he found the family name in a nearby town, Pontyfact. According to the genealogist, (1987) John is the son of John and Sarah Atkinson. Registered May 1808 There were three siblings: Joseph, Dec 1809, Mary Jan 1804 and a further Mary May 1806. They believe the second Mary was named such because the first Mary had died as a baby. There are no confirmed buriels. None of Jane Whitworth's descendants have been found. An old wedding announcment showed names in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Her younger sister was married to a minster in the Peterboro area. (1991)
