Find Family

* Sartin / Rogers / Jackson / Reid Families*

Updated September 6, 2000

I am researching my family , most settled in North West Alabama and North East Mississippi , (predominantly Franklin Co. Alabama) names include:
Sartin , Sartain , Jackson , Rogers , and Reid ,
.

Information is needed on these ancestors and their families;

I need information on my great great grandfather Thomas Albert Sartin/Sartain b. 1812-1818 in TN ( I do not know which county at this time ) and settled in Franklin County , Alabama , he married three times ... first to Mary ? Goforth , second to Mary Daniel and third to Tyrina ( Unknown ) , he died 1889 in Franklin Co. AL . I descend from Tyrina and Thomas' son Thomas J. Sartin b. 1877 in Franklin Co. AL and wife Mary Irene Rusoe b. 1879 in Franklin Co. AL.

My maternal great grand parents were
John Thomas Reid and his wife E. Jane Wright.Their daughter Ida Ophilia Reid b.1883 probably in Itawamba Co. MS who married Thomas Edmund Rogers in Itawamba Co., MS.

The Rogers family I have traced back to Edmon Rogers b.1809 in SC and his wife Charlotte or Mary ? b. 1814 in SC .Some of their descendants settled in Franklin Co. AL during the 1800's , I descend from that branch .

My Jackson family I have back to William Jackson b. abt. 1770 in SC and his wife Elizabeth Oxendine B. abt 1775 also in SC. Some of their descendants settled in Franklin Co. AL during the 1800's , I descend from that branch .

Thank you for any help you might give , I am willing to share the information which I have found so far .
