William Wiley Curtis was born on February 6, 1793 in Virginia. He married Lovey (Lovena) Inman in Miami County, Ohio on February 12, 1818. They moved to Vermillion County, Illinois after 1827, and then on to Pulaski County, Indiana and then Crawford County, Illinois. Both William and Lovey died in 1869 in Crawford County.
Their children included Asa (1819), Eli (1820), Mary Ann (1823), Daniel R. (1825), Rebecca M. (1827), Little Berry (1829), Martha E. (1831), John H. (1833), Elizabeth (1836), and Margaret (1839).

I am researching the descendants of all of these lines. I have information about Lovey's ancestors but would like to find out more about William Wiley Curtis's ancestors. I would be interested in any information about this family and am willing to share the information I have collected.

I am also interested in Emsley and Ellen Gray Curtis who lived in Crawford County, Illinois during the mid-1800's.

    Lovey was born 20 June 1798 in South Carolina. She died in Crawford County, Illinois in August 1869.

    William Wiley Curtis was probably born on February 6, 1793 in Virginia. He married Lovey Inman in Miami County, Ohio, and died in Crawford County, Illinois. He was a farmer and preacher.
  • Little Berry Curtis (266 KB)
    Little Berry Curtis (April 16, 1829-December 25, 1896) was the sixth known child of William Wiley and Lovey Curtis. He was married to Mary Jane Maddox, Hannah Weck, and Anna Phoebe Meese. He had at least fifteen children. He was a farmer and ran a store and post office in Kibbie, Illinois.
  • Rebecca Curtis Miller (216 KB)
    Rebecca Curtis (May 15, 1827-abt. 1873)was the fifth known child of William Wiley and Lovey Curtis. She was married to Washington Miller.
