| This will include information about the Black Satchell Families who originated on Eastern Shore Virginia (esva). There will be information about the related Brown, Burton, Custis, Francis, and Stratton Families. I am descended from Levin Laird Satchell and Annis Stratton. Their children included Ada, Amos, Charles, Daniel, Francis, George, Levin, Mary, Moses, Nellie, Robert, and Sallie. Also found as children of Annis were Leah and Robin. Several of the lines are discontinued; Amos Satchell, who married Emma Hose, Charles Satchell, who married Mary, George Satchell, Nellie Satchell, who married Henry Corse, and Sallie Satchell. Their youngest son Daniel F. Satchell married Sallie Custis and they had four children. They were; Leven Corneilius Satchell, Joseph Daniel Satchell, Jenette Whitney Satchell and Elmer Satchell. My grandfather was Joseph and he married Lillian Victoria Robinson. There are a host of descendants across the country with many surnames on the tree. The main Satchell ancestors are Leven and Severn Satchell. The rumor about their father's name is that he was named Ronamus. No other information is available about him at this time. |
