He married Maria Galletto on 30 June 1900 in Calumet, Houghton County, Michigan, daughter of Peter Galetto and Teresa Romano.

His wife Mary was 28 years old and the mother of 4 children. She and her parents were born in Italy and she immigrated in 1900. Their daughter Nota was 8 years old and born in Michigan. Their son Peter was 6 years old and born in Michigan. Their son John was 4 years old and born in Michigan. Their daughter Theresa was 10/12 years old and born in Michigan.

Their son Peter was 15 years old and born in Michigan. Their son John was 13 years old and born in Michigan. Their daughter Jean was 11 years old and born in Michigan.

He was 53 years old as of his last birthday and had been married at the age of 30. He and his parents were born in Italy. He was naturalized and immigrated to the United States in 1883. He was an inspector in the copper mine. His wife, Mary, was 47 years old and had been married at the age of 24. She and her parents were born in Italy. Mary was naturalized and immigrated to the United States in 1900. Their son, Peter, was 25 years old, born in Michigan, and was a miner in the copper mine. Their son, Jack, was 23, born in Michigan, and was an electrician in the copper mine. Their daughter, Jean, was 21 years old, born in Michigan, and was not working.

Esteemed Laurium Resident Passes
Funeral services for John B. Allaria, 62, well known Copper Country resident, who died Tuesday [28 June 1938] afternoon at his home, 122 South Pewabic Street, Laurium, will be held Friday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Mary's church. The Rev. Fr. Herman Fadale will officiate and internment will be in Lakeview. The body was removed to the family residence from the Richetta funeral parlors today.
Although he had been in ill health during the past three months, death came unexpectedly, and news of his passing was received with regret by his many friends in the district.
Mr. Allaria was born in Italy and came to this country 35 years ago, settling first at Franklin location, where he worked in the mines. Later he moved to Calumet and resided in the community up to the time of his death. He was employed by the Calumet and Hecla Consolidated Copper company for 30 years and later was assistant mine inspector under Alfred James and Matt Ollita. He was employed for several years with the Michigan state public utilities commission during Frank D. Fitzgeral's term as governor. In the election this spring he was elected as a member of the Board of Review of Calumet Township.
Fraternally, Mr. Allaria was a member of the Christopher Columbus society of Calumet, the U.P. Federation of Italian lodges, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Surviving are the widow; two sons and two daughters, John and Peter at home, Mrs. Homer Savard of Laurium, and Mrs. Stanley Roberts of Calumet; one brother, William of Detroit, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Poggione of Franklin Mine.
