I have been researching my family history for about 15 years and have had varying levels of success. I started with my family, Sayre of Mason County, West Virginia. This led me to my mother's family Berkley of Mason County. I then decided to search my wife's family, Hillis of Huron County, Ohio which then led me to the Kirkwood family of Huron County, Ohio. If you are familiar with geneaology research, you can guess where this led me. This site contains 1,176 individuals, with more being added as time and ambition permits.

This site contains history from 1042AD to the present and includs information on the following primary surnames: Berkley, Billiard, Bland, Childers, Dawson, Hillis, Kirkwood, and Sayre.

The data comes from various sources over the past 15 years, including "The Tenacious Berkeley, Berkleys" by Earl E. Berkley, published 1988 by McLain Printing Co., Parsons, West Virginia; Ancestry.com; first-hand information from living relatives and various other sources.

All data has not been verified, so users should independently verify the information used in their research. Permission is given for the personal use of information found on this site, with proper credit given to the author. Information may not be sold, traded, bartered or used commercially.
