I am researching two distinct branches:My mother's family came primarily from Alsace-Loraine, Switzerland, Bavaria and Prussia.This side first lived in the Pittsburgh, PA area.My father's family came from Sicily, some of these were Arboresh warriors that came from Albania in the 1400's to fight the Turks.This side first lived in Texas, Louisiana and California. I am helping two friends research their families, one family settled in the New York City area and originally came from Sicily near Palermo.The other family has roots in Mosel, Rhineland, Prussia and settled in Vanderburg, Posey and Spencer Counties in Indiana, and Muhlenberg and Daviess Counties in Kentucky.
