Notes for Mary Ida Bell Washburn: Burial: Roscoe Cem. Graham Co., KS. Obituary: Mary Ida Bell Washburn, daughter of Mr and Mrs Andrew J. Washburn, was born near Bethel, Vermont, June 19, 1862 and died at home in Graham County, KS., April 23, 1934, age 71 years, 10 months and four days. When 17 years of age she moved with her parents to Graham county, KS. She married Scott Ginther, Dec. 25, 1882 and to this union three children were born; Mrs. Stella Wallace, Fay Ginther both of Hill Cily, KS., and Mrs Bertha Scarlett, of Norton. She leaves to mourn their loss a loving husband, three children, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs Ella Nordyke, of Albany, Oregon and Mrs. Gertrude Maddy of Almena, KS.; besides a host of other relatives and friends. Five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. She was a kind, loving wife and mother and a friend to all who knew her. She united with the M. E. Church at an early age and later became a member of the U. B. Church at Spring Creek, when she remained a faithful Christian to the end. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, Apr. 25, 1934, from the Spring Creek United Brethren Church, with Rev. V. Glen. Megill, pastor of Edmond United Brethren Church in charge. Those attending the funeral from a distance were: Mr and Mrs George Scarlett and family, of Norton; Mr and Mrs J. A. Maddy, of Almena; Frank Newth, of Prairie View; Mr and Mrs Taylor Ginther, Mr and Mrs John Ginther and son and Mrs. Irvin Wymore, of Bartley, Nebr.; Mr and Mrs Alvie Wallace and son, of Wamego, and Mr and Mrs John Wilkins of McCracken
