  Martha Scalph's husband Charlie is on the left. George Scalph is on the right. The dog is named "Old Bird". Martha and her husband disappeared and were never heard of again. There are several theories about that.

  When I was a young girl like many others I would go to the football games to sit and watch the cheerleaders. I dreamed I was going to be one some day. Much to the dismay of my parents and friends I would practice cheers, flips and jumps every day. I got the nerve to try out for my Junior year and I won. I won again my Senior year and then went on to be a cheerleader at Wharton County Junior College. Dreams really can come true.

  Joan Schwartz Scalph April 9, 1936-April 29, 1958 My mother and baby sister passed away when I was almost 4 years old. Another sister, Paula, died a few days after her premature birth in May 1957.
