Most of the information I have received is from interviews with aunts and uncles. Unfortunately I waited too long to start this. My grandparents were deceased. Fortunately my aunts remembered quite a bit and had pictures.
Recently a cousin went to Italy and was able to get some more information. It seems that the origial name was Scagnetto.
This update 2/2006 includes this information dating back to Leonardo Scagnetto born 1784.
At the other end of the spectrum, I still need to get children and birth/death dates of relatives.
I certainly would appreciate any additional information.
