I am researching the SCANDLYN family from the Parish of Crowan, County of Cornwall, England.
My Great Grandfather, Edward William Scandlyn, who was born on February 17, 1833 in village of Crowan. He came to America about 1850 and settled in Eastern Tennessee in Roane County in the community known as Scandlyn Station.

His parents were William Scandlyn, born March 16, 1788, in Crowan, and Elizabeth Williams, of Crowan. They were married on April 23, 1812 in the Crowan Parish Church and lived on Horsedown Road.

Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
