* The Sam Scavone Family Home Page*

Updated September 6, 2000

I am researching the Salvatore Scavone family of Huntingdon and Cambria County, Pa. Salvatore was born in Sicily, in 1876 and arrived the port of New York in 1906. Church records indicate he and his family lived in the towns of Wood and Dunlo, Pa. and worked in the mines before moving to Detroit, Michigan. I am also researching the Nicolo Tumbarello family of Detroit, Michigan. Nicolo was born in Sicily, in 1888 and came to the U.S. in 1912.
While I am particularly interested in learning how to research each families's Sicilian genealogy, any information regarding either family would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
