The Schurmann Family from Massachusetts and Florida

The top of our tree is spread out all over the United States from Florida to Washington and Texas to Arkansas. We started from all parts of Europe including Germany, England and Ireland. We emigrated to Canada and the United States. Many of those that came to America moved to Canada during the revolution. I wonder if they were loyalists who were escaping from the U.S.
I am presently working on the Martens side of the family. I have made a lot of progress and have been able to connect the Chicago and German side of the family tree. This latest data is included in tree shown here. I will be including some pictures in the next update. I wish to welcome Doris Goerisch to the Schurmann family tree search effort. I have been amazed at how many of the family has appeared in this country.

The latest input has come from one of Phoebe's relatives from North Carolina(I think). Phil is in the line from Phoebe's grandmother Lillian Workman. He put me on to Phoebe's greatuncle who was on the Titanic. This opened up a whole new line and when combined with census data that was made available on the internet it expanded the tree considerably. I think I found one of Phoebe's cousin, Carol Allison Tonyan. I am trying to get an e-mail or snailmail address.
