Lydia Utz (b. 04 March 1805, d. 24 November 1888)

Lydia Utz (daughter of Andrew Utz and Ester Knop) was born 04 March 1805 in York Co, PA³⁰⁷¹, and died 24 November 1888 in Middlebury, Elkhart Co, IN³⁰⁷². She married Jacob Myers on Bef. 1826 in York Co, PA, son of Conrad Myers and Magdalena Renoll.

Notes for Lydia Utz:
Proof that Lydia's name was Utz is in the marriage license of her son, Frank Myers to Nancy Hoover, where he lists his parents as Jacob Myers and Lydia Utz. Middlebury, Elkhart Co. IN, 1889.

Pictorial and Biographical Memoirs of Indiana p. 217, 218 states "Jacob R. Myers....... was married to Lydia, daughter of Andrew Utz also a native of York County and of Dutch descent. She was a member of the Dunkard Church."

In the 1850 US Census, Stark Co., OH, Canton Twp. her son Hiram Myers is listed with Andrew Utz on p Page 529b..
