Dec. 8, 1789. Petition of Philip Klein on behalf of George Klein, son of George Michael Klein deceased, that the minor's grandfather lately died devising some property to said minor. That he is under 14 years of age and prays for guardian. The court appoints the petitioner.

Notes (Facts Pg): Philip Kline may have been a member of St. Peter's Reformed Church, which began in the 1760's. It's records are extremely spotty and large segments are missing entirely. This could explain why no baptismal records have been found for the children of Philip
Occupation: According to Morton L. Montgomery's History of Berks co., Philip was one of the early settlers of Richmond township, where he carried on agricultural pursuits, owning considerable land in the southeastern section of the township, as did his son, Benjamin.
