Marriage Notes for HARLEY SPACE and ALMA POLAR: Antigo Daily Journal; Saturday, October 14, 1922: "A very pretty wedding occurred at the Congregational parsonage on Thursday, October 12. When Alma Loretta Polar, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Polar, and Harley A. Space, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Space, both of the Town of Vilas, were united in marriage. The Rev. W. R. Dixon performed the ceremony. Leona Polar, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid and Bob Space, brother of the groom, acted as groomsman. "The bride was beautifully attired in dark brown taffeta and wore a corsage bouquet of carnations and ferns. After the ceremony a sumptuous wedding dinner was served to the bridal party and relatives of the bride and groom at the home of the bride's parents. "Mr. and Mrs. Harley Space left for the northern lakes to spend their honeymoon. They will be at home to their friends after November 1. "The bride is well known throughout the county. She graduated from the Antigo high school with the class of 1914, and since has taught in the rural schools of the county. "The bridegroom is a well known young man, having always resided in the town of Vilas. "They have a host of friends who wish them much joy and happiness." |
