| These are the "main" family lines I am researching: BERGERON - France to Quebec, from there ancestors immigrated to Minnesota. My line descends from Francis Xavier BERGERON (s/o Edouard BERGERON and Adolie VERBONCOEUR) and Mary Elizabeth REINWAND (d/o Martin REINWAND and Anna SCHULTZ). VERBONCOEUR and REINWAND surnames are of particular interest. Also associated with my BERGERON line are the surnames of BAKER, FACER, GALLAGHER, HORNBY and LITTLE SPACE - Progenitor of this line is John SPACE who immigrated to America with older brother, Peter, prior to Revolutionary War. John married Abigail MOTT in NJ; family then relocated to Luzerne County, PA. My line descends through their son, Zephaniah who married Catherine ARMSTRONG (also known as Catherine Hart Armstrong). Zephaniah & Catherine later moved to Clarion County, PA. Other surnames associated with this line include ARMAGOST, HIMES, JAMES, MERCER, RIMER, SHANKLE, WECKERLY SHANKLE - Jacob SHANKLE and Rachel CLICK are earliest known ancestors in this line; Jacob is found in Clarion County, PA in 1800's. Other surnames of interest with this line include ARMAGOST, FRAZIER, HIMES, KEIGAN, McCORD, SPACE and WINSLOW JONES - Progenitor was Charles JONES who immigrated to America in 1842 from Lancashire, England. Charles married Jane FIELDING in Rochdale, Lancs., England. Other surnames associated with this line are ASHWORTH, CLARKE, CLEGG, FIELDING, HOUGH, POLAR, WHITWORTH POLAR/POLER - I am always interested in hearing from anyone with connections/information with POLAR/POLER surnames. The family materialized in New York then moved to Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota. My line descends from Rancellor POLAR (s/o Simeon POLER and Charlotte) and Mary Jane CARSON (d/o Stephen CARSON and Nancy): Rancellor & Mary Jane were married in Leslie, Ingham, MI. Other surnames associated with this family are CARHARTT, CLARKE, GARRETT, JONES, RHODES, SOMERS, WELLING STONE - My mystery line; anyone who has STONE connections in Wisconsin and/or New England area, especially Maine, please contact me. Isaac STONE is found in WI in 1840's working in lumber trade. His wife "Elizabeth" was a Chippewa Indian from Lac du Flambeau. I believe the names of their three children will be the key to connecting Isaac with his family. Children of Isaac & Elizabeth: Alvin, Langley, Nancy Ann.
