I am the Granddaughter of Elmer Elbert Dove & Jinnie Dobbins Dove of Eckman ,West Virginia (Mcdowell Co.) And the daughter of Ira Junior Dove there son born on May 23, 1935 in Eckman,W.Va.
I was so lost when I found out the grandparents that I had when I was Growing up weren't my Birth Grand Parents. I have Been Searching for any information on my Grandparents but have not been able to locate anything at all on them. I really need help here on this matter. I would greatly appreciate your help. I need to know what happened to my grandparents. I know they had four children.Carrel Lorenza b. Feb 1928, William Orenb. June 1933, Ira Junior b. May 1935, & Barbara Jeanette Anne b. April 1936. all were born in Eckman West Virginia .
Ira & Barbara were placed in foster homes by the department of public Service which is now Social Services in Wyoming Co, West Virginia.(Pineville). Between 1939-1940. Ira was Raised by Pate Brooks & Gertrude McGraw Brooks. Barbara was Adopted By Mr. Brown & Ruth McGraw Brown . Ira's Name was Changed in 1953 to Ira Brooks but he was never adopted by them. Ira Served in the U.S Army from 1953- 1957. Ira Got Married to my mom Barbara June Price in raven cliff West Virginia on March 29,1959 By Rev. Lilly. They move to North Carolina and Lived there the rest of there lives. Ira d. 1989 & Barbara June d. 1992. They are Buried in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens In Winston-Salem , North Carolina.
