Notes for William (Bill) Wilson:
When he was able, William left his brother and sister in Florida and moved back to Adel, Georgia. There he married and began a family of his own.

Pershing Caprus Wilson stated that some members of this branch of the Wilson family made their way back into Florida and settled in and around Lake City.

He married (1) Mary Ann Johnson 14 Sep 1873 in Taylor County, Florida, daughter of William Johnson and Lucretia Woods. She was born 16 Jul 1837 in Madison County, Florida, and died 01 Mar 1886 in Perry, Taylor County, Florida. He met (2) Dora Henderson Bet. 1887 - 1892. She died Unknown. He married (3) Lucretia "Luzetta" Abigail Strickland Abt. 1891 in Taylor County, Florida, daughter of William Strickland and Mary Johnson. She was born 02 Sep 1864 in Taylor County, Florida, and died 26 Jan 1953 in Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida.

Notes for Samuel Caprus Wilson:
Fallowing the Civil War, Samuel Caprus Wilson was between the ages of 14 and 16 when his father, James (Jim), brought him along with his older brother (William) and sister (Addie) into the state of Florida.

Samuel Caprus Wilson had "three" families:

After the death of his first wife (Mary Ann Johnson), Samuel courted Dora Henderson and fathered a child that Dora named Ellen. Dora later married William Brooks who raised Ellen as his own. He even gave her his last name (Ellen Brooks). The Wilson family and the Brooks family have always recognized Ellen as the daughter of Samuel Caprus and her descendants as part of the Wilson family. Samuel married, a second time, his step-daughter (Lucretia "Luzetta" Abigail Strickland), who had come to help Samuel raise his children.

During the 1880s Louzetta moved in with her mother, Mary Ann Wilson and her step-father, Samuel Caprus Wilson. She was now old enough to help care for her half brothers and sisters. After her mother dies in 1886 and before 1892, she and her step-father, Samuel married. They then raised another Wilson family together.
