I am researching JAMES W. SHALLENBERGER b Sep 1838 in Connellsville, Fayette County, PA, d 22 Jan 1912, married about 1866 MARY ELLEN SHAW b.16 Oct 1845 in Connellsville, Fayette County, PA. James W. and Mary Ellen had nine children one of whom was JAMES ARTHUR SHALLENBERGER b. 23 Sep 1880 in Connellsville, Fayette County, PA d. 30 Dec 1930 in Homestead, Allegheny County, PA. James Arthur married about 1902 CORA E. MCCOLLUM b. 7 Oct 1887 d. 5 Sep 1961. Their youngest child (actually a twin) Jean Shallenberger b. 21 Dec 1922 was my Mother. I am trying to find information about Cora's parents whom I believe to be JACK MCCOLLUM and FRANCES WALTMEYER (multiple spellings). I have been unable to find any information about a Jack McCollum. Frances Waltmeyer's parents were ANDREW WALTMEYOR and ROSALIE ?? James W.'s father was JOHN SHALLENBERGER b 1809, d 1850 in Fayette County, Connellsville, PA John was married about 1866 to ELIZABETH HALL b 1809. I am also researching EMIL SCHEURMAN b May 1832 in Hausch, Baden, Germany and came to New York in 1853. He stayed in New York for one year then moved to Saginaw, Michigan where he met and married in 1860 HENRIETTA HINE b 24 Nov 1842. Emil died in his home in Saginaw 19 Aug 1907. Henrietta lived until 14 Aug 1927 and died at the summer cottage of her son Fred in Port Huron, Michigan. They were both born in Germany. |
