Hi,
Checking the everyname index for Biographical Record of Kane Co. 1898, there is no mention of your Surnames. However, did find a couple things which you may have already:
Kane Co. marriages:
Berrony Moisant to Justine Levique 7/10/1854 (May be "Benonie")
Eusebe Moisant to Josephine Dusell 12/31/1879
Joseph L. Moisant to Eva Regnier 4/28/1897
No Villanueve
Chas. Raymond to Julie Miser (corruption of Moisant?) 11/8/1868
There are several other Charles Raymond marriages, but none to a Julie....
Will send if you like.
Nothing in names listed in 1872 or 1895 Plat map indexes
Nothing listed 1859-60 Kane Co. directory
History of Kane Co. Ill Vol 1 lists Charles W. Raymond as county clerk 1894
Past and Present of Kane Co. 1878 pg 235: The french have settled in Kane Co. but in one place, Aurora...There quite a large colony has settled first and last, commencing in 1845 and running up to 1855, we find ......Benoit Moisant...
Under voters and taxpayers in this volume, there is a Joseph Morsant, Post Office Aurora; a Ben Moisant, car repairer, P.O. Aurora (this prob means rail road cars as there was manuf. of these in aurora and its too early for autos!) There are several Raymonds, no Chas. and no Villanueve's.

May 9 2002 email from Debbie Culp:
I am descended from Julia's daughter, also Julia, who married Adolph Mason.
Adolph was a train engineer. They moved to the far south side of Chicago,
along the Illinois Central tracks. That house was still in the family until
about 1970. Julia and Adolph's daughter, Alberta, was my father's mother.

The headstones at the cemetery were not too clear. Somewhere I think I may
have a list. I will need to uncover it. Unfortunately, my genealogy stuff
is not as organized at it should be. Julia, our mutual ancestor, married a
Mr. Raymond after her first husband died. The Raymond's were a prominent
family in Aurora. My father had an uncle who was killed in a train yard as
a young boy (grandson of our mutual Julia ancestor). For some reason, he
was buried in Aurora near all the Raymond's. His headstone is a large,
clear one, surrounded by the other Raymond headstones. I would imagine that
the burial may have been a hardship and the Raymond's offered an empty plot.
It also appears that Julia Villaneuve Raymond died in 1930. My father was
10 then, but never mentioned knowing a great-grandmother. I have to ask him
about that.
