ANNA WILHEMINE MARGARETH, daughter of Henry Grundmann and wife Mary Nee Ziegler, born Sept. 25, 1873 in Ill. Baptized in name of Triune God soon afterward. She came to Thayer Co. in 1880 to a farm in vicinity Friedensau, NE. Confirmed in 1888. After marriage lived in Kiowa for 7 years. 1900 moved to Deshler. 2 daughters. Anna died of multiple neuritis which she suffered with for 6 years. 73 years old.

Survived by 3 brothers, Henry of Earlsboro, OK. William of Hebron, and John of St. Louis MO. 4 sisters, Meta, Mrs. John siebolds of Deshler. Lizzy, Mrs. Albert Rossmiller of Wild Rose ND. Sophia, Mrs. Herman Dunker of Hebron. Clara, Mrs. John Poppe of Kiowa. 15 grandchildren. Pastor H. F. Krohn officiating.

Anna Magarata "Marie" Wilhelmena was born in IL. She moved to NE with her folks in 1880 coming in a covered wagon. (The trunk & some clothing taken on this trip is in the possession of Everlyn Gruber). She was confirmed 3-25-1888. On 4-20-1893 she was married to "Carl" Degner in Friedensau. They lived in Kiowa for 7 years. In 1900 they moved and lived in Deshler, NE until their death.
