The Hans Casper Schauwecker Home Page

I have information on the Schauweckers back to 1657 from work done by my great great uncle. This work was done prior to 1900 with my line brought up to date by my aunt and myself. I am interested in the connection of other Schauwecker lines to mine. There has never been a reunion of USA Schauweckers. I would love to help start one. Anyone having information or wanting info on the Schauweckers, please contact me.I am very new at this and will need help with some of the terms used in genealogy.

A Little About My Branch

My great grand father Johannes Schauwecker (b 1845, d 1919) arrived New Years Eve, at New York, New York, with his younger brother Christian Carl. They went to Columbinia County, Ohio to work for there uncle in his tannery. After the Civil War was over they went to ST Marys, West Virginia and bought a tannery.
The family branch here in West Virginia is in the 6th generation.
