In the Name of God Amen
I Luke Havell of Reading in the County of Berks Drawing Master
Oilman and Colourman being in good Health of Body and of sound
and disposing Mind Memory and Understanding and being desirous
to settle my Worldly Affairs whilst I have strength of Mind and a fit
Capacity so to do so make publish and declare this my last my last
Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)
I give devise and bequeath unto my dear Wife Charlotte Havell
all my real and personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever
that I may die possessed of or entitled unto at my Decease And also
all my Share and profits of my Businesses Stock Book Debts and
Effects whatsoever and every kind of property that I may be entitled
unto at my Decease to hold all the real Estate to and for her own
entire use for her natural Life and after her Decease to such of my
Family as she may give and devise the same and to them their
Heirs and Assigns for ever And to hold the personal Estate to and for
her natural Life Subject nevertheless to the payment of all the Debts
Dues and Incumbrances by me at any Time or Times had or made
on the said real or personal Estate or any part thereof And
immediately from and after my said Wifes Decease I give and bequeath
the Businesses which I may leave and which she will enjoy owning in
her life and then leave together with the Stock Goodwill and Appurt
thereto belonging to my dear and good Brothers Robert Havell of
Chappel Street Tottenham Court Road [G... .....] and William
Havell of Reading Butcher and my Son in Law Zachary
Allnutt of Henley Oxon Attorney and my Sons Philips Havell and
William Havell as Trustees nonetheless
