My father, Anders Ludvig Schau, born in Hærland area of Østfold; my maternal grandmother, Karen Bredesen, born in Hadeland area of Oppland; and my maternal grandfather, Adolf Olsen, born in Ullensaker, Akershus. OPPLAND - Karen Bredesen, Askimbratten farm, 1888, Minnesota, Anders Bredesen-Aschim 1893 to Des Moines, IA, and Torstein Bredesen-Aschim date unknown, Des Moines, Andrew Andersen, 1852. Goro Andersdtr, Eidsand farm, 1852, to Minnesota then San Francisco, married man named Prues, in the shipping business; Søren Torstensen, Jønsrud farm, 1891; Torsten Andersen, Eidsand farm, 1852; Mari Andersdtr, Eidsand farm, 1857. This data is from the University of Bergen imigration records from Gran. AKERSHUS: Adolf Olsen 1889 to Minnesota,disappeared in 1903. He died and was burried in 1949 in the old cemetary in Oslo. Whereabouts 1903-1910 unknown. Others Ruud and Larsen, Lien/Lein, Lee, Mikkelsen. Anders Ludvig Schau Crossed the Equator in 1916 (376 KB) Document presented to my father when he crossed the equator for the first time. It was hand printed on parchment and prepared by the Captain of the Ship. As can be seen, it has been folded, unfolded, and carried in hsi wallet for 30+ years by my father. My parents gave it to me several and I am in the process of having it restored. ANDERS LUDVIG SCHAU, 1910 in Hærland, Østfold, (538 KB) My father's school at age 11. She passed away about two years ago, but ran a B&B in Brandbu and taught lefse and flat bread baking to local young girls, volunteered at the Hadeland Museum, up to her death at 79. Anne Torstensd-Jønsrud, 1796-1885, 2nd GGmother (148 KB) This is a photograph of an oil painting. She married Anders Isaksen, b 1788, from Eidsand and Toverud farms. Descendents still live on the Jønsrud farm.
