| This family history includes information about the Schoppa, Schur, Schulz and Zoch families.Michael and Maria Schoppa and their family left Spreewitz, Germany and sailed on the "Bark Texas", landing in Galveston, Texas in 1868.They settled in Serbin, Texas and later moved to a farm near Warda, Texas. The Michael Schoppa Family Album was published in June 2000 and is registered at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.Since that time there have been many additions to the family.
