Notes for Jonathan Aller:
From Harriet S. Aller in an email to Michael T. Schmidt dated 3/4/2003:
'My sister subscribes to the newsletter from the Carrolton Society. In the latest mailing there was an article on Jonathan Aller that was from an article first published in the Sherrodsville Standard of Sherrodsville, OH, Friday, May 22, 1896:
"Jonathan Allen (should be Aller), brother of Daniel and Absolom Aller, was drowned in the creek northeast of the Carrol County Fair grounds in harvest time of the year 1850.His clothing was found upon the bank of the stream and search was made for his body.He was badly bruised about the head, and the fact of being in the water by himself led to the suspicion of foul play. The place he was drowned was known for many years as the 'Aller hole'."[Salander-Kirkpatrick-Privatized12-12-2004v11.ftw]
