John Railey Long Darnell (son of Randolph Railey Darnell and Atalanta Whittington) was born March/02/1832, and died February/22/1888 in Ducker's Station. He married Susan Frances Cotton on March/02/1858 in Versailles, KY.

John was a good friend of John Hunt Morgan (the Thunderbolt of the
Confederacy) during Civil War.

An elder at Grassy Springs Church.

(Ducker's was named for William Ducker who was in Frankfort, 1810, and
bought the land from Capt James Porter in 1820. In 1832 he sold to
the Lexington and Ohio Railroad.)
