The research into my family's background is primarily centered on two surnames at the present time - SCHROEPPEL & LANGLEY.Gottlieb SCHROPPEL (later spelled with an "oe") came to the United States around 1880 from the Wuerzburg, Germany, area. Gottlieb (b. Jul 1863) married Emily Hornecker and they lived most of their lives in the Astoria, NY area. They had eight children.Thomas LANGLEY was born in January of 1811 in Lauderdale County, Tennessee. He married Rebecca Brown in Alexander County, IL, in July of 1837 and lived most of their married life in southeast Missouri. They had 13 children, born in Illinois and Missouri. Their youngest child was son Thomas Jefferson LANGLEY. Any information on Gottlieb SCHROEPPEL or Thomas LANGLEY or their ancestors would be very much appreciated. |
