James Husband (b. Bef. 1775, d. August 13, 1823)
Notes for James Husband:
James Husband was born 1743, and died August 13, 1823 in Berkeley County, Virginia. He married Sarah Beevis on February 01, 1792 in Berkeley County, Virginia. The 1743 year of birth was taken from the Berkeley County, WVA Rev. War pensioner's list.It gives the year of commencement as 1819.It also lists the age as 76.I assumed that the age given was the age at commencement of pension.
I have found a James Husband(s) in Berkeley County, VA (WVA).Applied for Rev War pension. Pension began in September, 1819.He died in 1823.

2) A James Husband is listed in the 1790 Delaware census. Many varied references to Husband(s) family in Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware from 17th, 18th and early 19th centuries.
3)In Early West Virginia Settlers list, I have found a marriage record between Sarah Beevis and James Husband.Date of marriage February 1, 1792 in Berkeley County, VA.David Young the minister.Note gc 1One other interesting note is that this family seems to name its sons James.Andy had a son named James, Andy's father was named James, possibly James's father was named James.
4)A James Husband is listed in the "Virginians in the Revolution" as a pensioner in Berkeley County.
5)I have numerous documents from 17thand 18th centuries from Maryland and Virginia mentioning Thomas Husband and Jane Husband. No way to connect those people with the Husbands I have.

1-24-2007--Through the efforts of Jean Hooper, I found the father of James, Andrew, and William Husband in the 1820,Jackson, Muskingum, Ohio census. The census entry shows three sons, one male over 45, and two females in the 16-26 age range.Whether this man is the same as the James Husband located in Berkeley County, WVA is a question that I have to answer.
