| I am researching my ancestors and those of my wife. My ultimate goal is to provide my children and grandchildren with a book that tells them about their heritage. My great-grandfather,Jacob Schroll,was born in Edenkoben, Pfalz, Germany on 17 Oct 1856. He was one of eight sons of Leopold Schroll and Maria Eva Berner. He married Elizabeth Sendfeld on 14 Nov 1882 in St. Louis, Missouri. Other names on my side of the family are Bender(Benda), Brooks, Clough, Davidson, Elam, Garland, Godsey, Hall, Kiper, Kohl, Merkel, Overton, Puers, Quick, Rausch, Reifschneider, Schmalenbach, Terry, Wagener, Waters, and Yaeger. On my wife's side, I am researching the Burgerts who came to the U.S. from Ottersweir, Baden, Germany and the Cantlons who came from Ireland. The Burgerts emigrated to Cincinnati, OH, Vincennes and Terre Haute, IN, and Milwaukee, WI. The Cantlons emigrated to Ettrick, WI.
